Description
With bell strike movement and alarm anchor escapement and a painted steel dial. In an oak or ash case with chain pull which sets the alarm. The small window has brass d/(c)cor over it with an eagle on top along with owls, the sun and a flaming urn. Not tested. These clocks are sometimes referred to as Dutch Hoods. They were also made in surrounding countries and can date anywhere up to the 1870's. Dial - 10" Wide; Case - 54" Long (There is some corrosion showing on the dial.)
