Description
The bell strike movement is marked "France" and numbered 1598. The blue and white decorated case has shield-like shapes with 3 crescents in them. There are large flowers, some with an insect nearby, on the sides and back of the case. The front has church-like windows with Fleur de Lis and serpents. The lower part has a Dutch scene, including a windmill and sail boats. The clock is running and striking at this time. 18 1/2" Tall x 10 1/2" Wide There is no restoration nor does this clock need any. The large road map style crazing is natural for this type of ware.
