Description

The 14" high metal case has good gold paint, not ormolu, very nice porcelain insert below the dial, and what Gilbert called a, "China Egg" on top. All the painted scenes are very nice. No glass in the bezel, excellent porcelain dial with painted flowers, and a pair of great gold hands. The case is complete otherwise. Metal hinged back door, correct pendulum, signed 8 day movement, and it strikes half hours on a standing gong. Install a glass in the bezel and you will have a very nice clock. LyGilbert No. 853.
