Description
An early shelf clock with later improvements. The gold was refreshed and the original zinc dial was "improved" to suit the previous owner. He was an excellent mechanic but did not have the painters touch. The clock does not look bad on the shelf. Very nice 15.5" high mahogany veneered case with the original dark finish, has the usual corner and edge nicks, but is certainly acceptable. With a little effort it could be a very nice shelf clock. Original glasses, door knob, alarm movement and iron bell on which it rings, 8 day movement and a signed gong base and coil gong. Old brass bob and a complete label inside. LySeth Thomas No. 650.
