Description

The case is very nice, better than normal veneer all over, some loss on the very bottom. I suppose the wood is oak, if so unlike other oaks I see, whatever it is, it is attractive. Thick octagon case is 3.5" deep, over 8.5" across the back. No label on the back. Original signed dial, three hands, glass, brass bezel and sash. The movement is very sluggish. I know this collector had his movements all running, then he put them away for 40 years, so who knows, probably the oil has dried. I am not sure if it is one day or 8 days, but it is a double wind, time only movement. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 1187.
