Description
The mahogany veneered case is 27" tall, carved ears and lower door, and unusual moldings. Top bezel is slanted 45 degrees, good brass bezel and glass over the repainted dial. Signed 8 day movement, coil gong, and brass bob. The old case has a few small chips and dents but nothing detracting from the overall look. The clock has been across the waters at least once and no telling where else in the last 150 years. The early brass movement is signed by Seth Thomas at Plymouth, Conn. and stamped No. 10. Retains the original Geneva stops. Some may say ST never made clocks like this. Well they may not have made the case but the internal parts are definitely ST. I have learned over 35 years that you can never say never about ST clocks. I have several in my collection that are not pictured in any of their catalogs.
