Description
Rare case made of Brazilian onyx adamantine. The case is 14" wide, almost 12" high, and in near perfect condition. ST said that the sash, mat, and ornaments were "dull, gold plated". Maybe when original, now dull and tarnished, particularly the mat. Flat glass in the sash, correct hands and perfect adamantine type cream dial. The dial is signed, "Seth Thomas / Ding Dong Strike / Manufactured in the United States of America". Large back board, two large bells placed similar to those in Sonora Chime cases, 8 day movement is signed, and has the correct pendulum bob. I suspect the back cover is not original.
