Description
It has bronze applied ornaments top and bottom, bronze capitals and bases on the columns, bronze dial surround, dial ring, inner dial, and an outstanding bronze lyre pendulum bob. None of those pieces have been cleaned or polished and do not need to be unless you want them bright. The 8 day movement is housed in a metal canister. There is no cover over the back and I am not sure there ever was. The round French bell strike movement is not signed, it has an outside count wheel, a large nickeled bell, and an old winding key. It is running, even though it is slightly out of beat, and if I were buying it for my collection I would service/clean the movement. The case is 17.5" high, and has a few tiny edge chips, primarily on the back edge.
