Description

That said, I do not have any indication that the statue is original to this case, but neither do I think it may not be. I Just cannot tell. I do know that a magnet will not attach to the statue or any of the case ornaments. The statue was never attached to the case, but is now glued to it. A hole in the center would indicate this statue or some other was originally bolted to the case. The clock is 18" high, 12.5" wide, and has no breaks or chips on the marble. It has a good one piece porcelain dial, hands, beveled glass and brass sash. Like the majority of French clocks we see, it has a round movement, bell strike, signed, by "Japy Freres", and has a correct pendulum inside.
