Description
For some reason this clock has a greater value placed on it than similar New Haven parlor clocks. I suppose it is the special "Patent Dial Pendulum Ball" that they were so proud of, claiming a clock could be more quickly and closely regulated. The 24" walnut case is in the "tear drop" style, it is clean, completely original including the excellent glass, carved top, dial, hands, pendulum, finials, and complete label on the back. The movement is 8 day, time and strike, running, and exactly as pictured in Ly-New Haven, page 315.
