Description

He was an ancient Greek poet. The base is black enameled iron with metal ornaments all around, with the "Japanese Bronze" statue and clock tower resting on that base. It is 17.5" wide and 15" high. There is little if any finish left on any of the metal objects. The clock is complete with all the original ornaments, metal back door, urn pieces, etc. The two piece dial has a yellow stain on it but I noticed it cleaned off easily. Correct gold hands, open escapement mechanism, beveled glass and nice sash. It has a correct hinged metal back door, signed 8 day movement, standing gong, and a correct Ansonia pendulum. Ly-Ansonia No. 506.
