Description
The serial number on the movement, 590435, dates the movement 1886. The walnut case is only 37" high, has nice shaped columns, unusual carved top piece, typical finials, and three glasses, all in fine condition. The 8 day movement mounts to a back plate, running great and striking a long chime rod mounted behind the movement. Two piece porcelain dial and Vienese hands are all perfect. Brass dial rings, brass pendulum ball, brass pulleys, and brass weights, if not original to the clock one could never know for sure.
