Description

An unusual crystal regulator with a high book value. This one will not bring top dollar for the "rich gold finish" is gone. A tenderfoot cleaned the gilt off leaving the copper base. The brass sections, not many of them, are fine. A great looking clock but it needs a good finish. The case is 15.5" high, complete and very good except for the finish. Four beveled glasses, two very good, one with a miniscule corner tic, one with a good size corner chip. Good size being about 1/2" by 1/8". Signed 8 day movement, hanging Cathedral gong, imitation mercury pendulum (it is now copper color, I guess to match the case), and a winding key. Perfect porcelain dial and hands, dial is signed, painted loops of flowers. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 742.
