Description
The clock was made to hang from the ceiling, attach to a wall, or sit on its base. It is a heavily carved oak case that is 29" high and 37" wide. The case probably was in the elements at some time or maybe just the base got damp and deteriorated because the bottom board or bottom two boards may not be original to the case. If the boards are replaced they were done by a good cabinet man and look good. One of the 18" dials is original, one is not. Both have been repainted and they look especially nice in the case. The 15 day movement is between the dials. One of the dial boards has also suffered some problems and you may want to have it replaced. It does not show until you lift the doors and check closely. The case problems are not significant and can be corrected. This is one huge clock and looks great hanging or sitting. If it were in very nice condition it should be worth $4000 or more.
