Description
The movement in this clock is a Seth Thomas No. 10 lever movement, two winding arbors on the side of the case. The advertising movement also winds on the case side, and it has two springs wound with an oversized key. This advertising operates every few seconds by flipping the advertising sheets from back to front. It operates independently of the clock and can and does run no matter if the clock is running or not. There are 20 different sheets of advertising. The well made walnut case is 52" high, removable base makes it a shelf clock if desired. Door lock on the left side, four winding arbors on the right side. Carved ornament on top, painted dial is signed "ST". As with all their clocks this is a well made, great looking clock. It would be ideal for any store or clock shop to use in their front window for advertising. The 20 sheets of advertising change every 30 seconds. We know of some very prominent collectors who have clocks made by Mr. Burlingame and Mr. Broline.
