Description

The white marble case is 17" high, 12" wide, and near perfect. The calendar dials are porcelain with an outer ring for months of the year, inner dial for a moon phase, and a small dial showing days of the month, and another for days of the week. The moon phase at the bottom shows stars and blue sky. The two piece top dial is perfect with the inner dial recessed. There is a Brocot escapement in the center. Both dials have bronze sashes and heavily beveled glasses and fine French hands. The top bezel is hinged, the bottom is not. Both back doors are hinged and have a flat glass in bronze bezels. The round 8 day French movement is running, strikes on a bell, has an outside count, and is signed by Marti. The calendar is adjusted from the rear.
