Description
The fine rosewood veneered case is 34" tall, has ripple molding and metal knobs. The glasses are original, so are the hands, pendulum bob, and the movement. Inside is a very nice paper label. The painted design on the metal dial is very unusual. No where can I find another Atkins clock with that design on the dial. The movement is 8 day, time only, winding at 7 o'clock. It is his production movement with a 4 spoke escape wheel. It is clean, unsigned and running. Reference: "The Clocks Of Irenus Atkins", by Gregory and King. This clock, movement, and label, are pictured and described on pages 67 thru 71.
