Description
The silver nickel internal parts have not been cleaned or polished and would look so much better if they were cleaned. It plays and sound fine as it is, but I would prefer if the nickel parts are polished?? The tune card on the back of the lid indicates the box is, "Fabrique de Geneve (or fabricated in Geneva), J.H.F. No. 4123". The trademark on the card says in part, "Trade Mark / J.H.F. (or H.J.F) / MC and Y (or CM and Y)". The case is beautiful burl walnut? or flame mahogany, inlay on the top, front, and sides. Corners are inset, has four large wood feet, key lock and escutcheon, no key. There are some small edge nicks and a few missing pieces of string inlay. The inlays on the top are exceptional.
