Description

Most of the paper tune card is attached on the lid. It shows the names and composers of some recognizable tunes, some of which are waltzes, marches and minstrels. It has Jacot's safety feature. Metal plates inside shows late 1800's patent dates, another nickeled plate with the box serial number, "1087 09", the same number that is printed on the tune card. The large oak case is 28.5" long, 11.5" deep, and 8.5" high. It has applied scroll carving on the front, paneled lid, and a molded stepped base. The box has been cleaned of the smoke and rubbed with a polish cleaner to bring back the nice wood colors and graining. The brass and nickel parts have been cleaned/polished and serviced for good running. Key lock in front, no key.
