Description
Much more information on the label than what I copied. This is a "collectors" clock, in excellent original condition and near perfect in every respect. Beautiful mahogany veneered case with ripple all around, carved ears on the sides, and a trap door with lock and key, on the bottom. The case is 22" high, brass bezels, two good glasses, original painted dial and hands. The dial is signed, "C. Jerome", and the large slim numerals are faded, and there are a few tiny paint flakes on the dial. The movement is 8 day, time and strike, signed, "Chauncey Jerome", and in good running condition. Old brass bob and winding key inside. This is a good straight clock, and I can certainly understand why the doctor had it in his collection all these years. Pictured with other Jerome clocks in Ehrhardt's, "Clocks / Identification and Price Guide", book one, page 8.
