Description
a robust and well made reproduction of an 18th Century lantern clock. Easiest way to tell the age of one of these is to look at the pinions, and if there is virtually no wear, you are usually correct that the item is modern. Also modern arbors are often turned from mass extruded pinion stock, and the pinions are usually wider than need be. Overall a well made clock, not to be compared with the poor lanterns that came from India during the 1960s. Lot includes clock, weight, pulley, rope and pendulum. A wall bracket is easy to make.
