Description

the case has been refinished, the 3 finials and 2 frets are replacements. Door has a turn latch and has shrunk a bit, leaving a gap along the left margin. The movement is a good New Hampshire "Swiss cheese" plate design with cut outs on both sides and a deep oval cut-out at the bottom. The thin iron dial is typical of NH work, and retains its original paint with a shell in the arch; small paint loss along top edge. Suspension spring repaired after foto taken. We searched in Parson's book on New Hampshire clocks and found the movement similar but not identical to those produced by Cole and Morrill. Ht 92"
