Description

similar to other La Cerdas, there is a horizontal hairline crack in the glaze under the top shell trim, only noticed on close inspection; there is no evidence of a break or repair. This clock has the fanciest dial that Ansonia used on their porcelain clocks, a brass base with individual porcelain cartouche numerals. The front support for the escape wheel is a cast brass piece with the pivot between two eagles' heads. Also this is the large round movement with rack striking, held in with straps, French style. Latch for rear dust cover is missing. Ht 15"
