Description
This clock and case are in very good to excellent original condition. The love god "Amor" was a popular feature of several French designs and has been shown pulled by a lone horse, and a brace on up to a team. Butterflies sometimes are pulling the chariot Details on this theme are covered in the book "French Bronze Clocks" by Nieh,ser, pages 102-103. This clock has a perfect porcelain dial, original moon hands, and is clean and running. Width = 17.5" ht = 17"
