Description
Condition: overall pretty good for a 200 year old clock; small wooden feet would have been cast brass originally; porcelain chapter ring has some small losses and repairs. Subsidiary dials in arch are still in good condition; retains original fretted brass hands; calendar hand may be a replacement. Movement is sound and running; note fancy engraving on rear plate. Week duration clocks were very uncommon in Austria at this time. For similar examples, see Viennese Timepieces, by Kaltenbock, pages 129 - 130. Ht 21"
