Description
Condition: the mounting holes for the heavy movement have been drilled out and reinforced; otherwise this is in excellent condition, with good dial, tablet and inside label. Much of original finish remains; small veneer repairs at very bottom of case. Retains original ivory door knobs. The movement has been professionally reconditioned, and is in good running order. For details on this clock, see book titled The Clocks of Irenus Atkins, page 51, and movt, figure 211a, and tablet as in fig 203, and several models showing Atkins use of moon hands as an alternate to his narrow club hands.
