Description

Condition: the case has been refinished to a mellow honey color; there are dry splits in the case on each side, top left and rear. The architectural style of the case is that of a cathedral, with arched windows to the sides and trefoil carvings on the front. Winding grommets are absent from the dial, and there are some hairlines on the dial and a small chip at 5:30, calendar dial with chip above "March". Note that calendar dial has an equation of time scale inside the months, and summer and winter solstice are shown with a "sun face" on the dial [June and Dec]; the month hand has a gilt "sun" pointing at the adds and subtracts for day length. Both movements are complete and sound. Ht 15.5"
