Description
Condition: the dial appears to be a replacement; as girandoles usually had Roman numerals, however it is an old dial, with touch-up. The gilding on throat and door is still quite nice, with minimal losses and a nice aged color, however the carved bracket has been brushed over with gold. Cord has broken once and caused a crack in the case bottom. The carved eagle is exceptional, and the brass hands are hand cut and engraved. Ht 41"
