Description
Condition: an interesting 3-piece tall clock with ormolu mounts, in the style of 1745 (with plaque bearing that date). The case is dark walnut veneer over pine. Sunburst pendulum is cast brass. Brass covered iron weights are from a German tall case. Whoever restored the movement applied chrome plating to the uprights and gong as well as the iron frame. Lots of look for the money. Key/crank wind through cast brass dial. Ht 91"
