Description
Condition: overall a good clock. The tablets are very old, however tie down strips are new and they were probably replaced long ago; lower tablet depicts the escape of the Constitution in 1812; minor flaking. The gilding has never been cleaned and is quite dirty. The movement is original to the case, with nice long teeth. Lead weight is a proper replacement. Carved wooden/gilt eagle has nice detail, but gilding is worn and was over-sprayed with lacquer. Height 34 inches
