Description

Condition: the case has been stripped and refinished and could use a bit more finish on it. The dial has been re-papered. The last person to clean and re-string the clock did not realize that the pulleys belong in the top corners of the case and the weights should hang down the sides, and they had the weights hanging from the pulleys. We just placed the weights in the bottom for the foto [this is a minor thing to correct]. Pendulum, beat scale, and balance of hardware are original. See Ly Ansonia book fig 567, note illustration is mis-drawn with pulleys over weights, since all this series, Prompt, General and Bagdad, are direct cord to weight and similar movements. Height 52 inches
