in mahogany with pine secondary. The hood has a broken-arch pediment, a tombstone dial, and sidelights. The case has a thumb-moulded door and bracket feet, with crotch and cross-banded mahogany veneer. The brass works have a polychrome-painted dial with young ladies in the spandrels and a family bible reading in the dial arch. The dial is signed Wm. Marshall Wishaw. 19th century; 89.75" high x 20.5" wide x 9" deep. William Marshall (died 1884) was the son of James Marshall (1815-1853). William took over his father's shop after his death.
