cherry with pine secondary wood. Hood has a pierced pediment with fluted plinths topped by brass finials, turned columns, and a tombstone door. Case has a thumb-moulded door and bracket feet. Wooden works, with polychrome-painted dial with floral decoration, and signed in the center of the chapter ring A. Edwards / Ashby. In a dry, old finish; 89" high x 19" wide x 10.5" deep. Abraham Edwards (1761-1840), worked in Ashby ca 1794-1840. Condition report Minor repairs; VG.
