Mallory & Co. Dayton Ohio Shelf Clock, 8-day time and strike, weight-driven, strap brass works, stamped BM Co.. Painted wooden dial, open center revealing escapement, Roman numerals, gilt geometric spandrels. Mahogany case with full turned columns over ogee plinths, splat with carved thistle and leaves, flanked by bulls-eye plinths. Double door with dial having lower section with original mirrored tablet and lower door having original polychrome painting of Greek revival mansion and weeping willows in park-like setting. Dayton, Ohio is an original overpaste on label. Fine original finish and partial paper label. 18.25" wide x 5.75" deep x 36.3" high.Ex Paul A.
