30-hour time and strike, weight-driven, groaner-type wooden works. Movement bridge on front plate stamped T.W. & Co., thought to be Thomas Watson & Co. and an indication of Cincinnati MFG. Painted wooden dial, Arabic numerals and gilt painted dotted garland center with floral scrollwork spandrels. Mahogany case with mahogany-veneered half columns and veneered scroll-cut splat. Replaced mirrored tablet. Cleaned original finish and paper label. The most sought after of the Watson cornice and column shelf clocks. 16.75" wide x 5.8" deep x 35.25" high.Ex Paul A.
