8-day time and strike, spring-driven, brass movement. Printed paper dial, Roman numerals and cast brass bezel. Glass dome with mahogany oval base. Bronzed figure of soldier with rifle on right and sailor with net on left. Mirrored back below movement and between figures, ca 1880, as show in Tran Duy Ly's Ansonia Clocks, pg 95, Fig. 240. 13.5" wide x 6.5" deep x 19" high.Ex Paul A.
