Description
circa 1940. A Seth Thomas 6" Type A mechanical clock in phenolic (Bakelite) case with hinged bezel, 8-day movement, red sweep second hand, fast-slow regulator, black finished dial with non-luminous hands and figures, wound and regulated through the dial. Marked on the dial SETH THOMAS / U.S. NAVY. Dial is 6" diameter; bezel and flange are 7.75" diameter. See Whitney, Marvin E., Military Timepieces, p. 429 for text and illustration.
