a one-day marine lever clock with nickel-plated case, 6" dial marked with black Roman numerals and gradations, black spade hands, fast-slow regulator at 12 o'clock, and secondary dial at 6 o'clock. The secondary dial is marked Patented / Apr 16, 1878 indicating that this example is from the first production run. Retains original paper label on back that reads One-Day / Lever / Seth Thomas / Thomaston, Conn., U.S.A. etc. Penciled note on back reads Bought April of 1882 from ___ James M. D____ . Clock is 6" diameter x 3.25" deep. Condition report Expected wear. We do not guarantee working order of clocks and watches.
