enameled dial, Roman on chapter ring, outer minute ring marked with ticks, every 5 minutes with dot with stamped brass surround, 8-day time-only weight driven brass European (Swiss) movement, housed in steel boxed case with side doors, with lyre-form brass pendulum, cherry case with arched top door with applied floral scroll carving in arch, sides with rectangular half columns with carved fish scale face, ogee base and carved plinth-type capitals, with side lights, bracket shelf-type base with scrolled braces with turned rosettes, applied floral scrolled carvings and other design elements, crest with acanthus carved central top over cove moulding over carved and turned design elements, returns with bull's-eye and stick motif, matching those on front, all in original old varnish finish, 14.25" x 26" x 94" high.
