painted and gilt wooden dial with Roman on chapter ring, inner minute ring marked with dots, bold every 5 minutes, spandrels with raised gilt scroll work and polychrome flowers, 30-hour wooden time and strike weight driven movement, interior with printed paper label Modern Patent Clocks/Invented By/Eli Terry/Made And Sold/At/Plymouth, Connecticut,/By/Seth Thomas with directions, door with original tablet with large country house with oval window in center to view pendulum, gilt scroll work surround, mahogany case in over-varnish finish with ebonized and gold stenciled half columns, carved crest with flanking scrolled leaves with terminals forming goose neck broken arch, flanked by mahogany plinths, front carved claw feet with acanthus knees, rear in turned mahogany, 5" x 17" x 29.5" high.
