Description

Condition: the case is a bit warped and the front door has been shaved on the left side to allow closure, and it is still tight. There are some worm holes in the wood. The movement itself is clean and running however, someone has "saved" the clock by installing a normal 12-step snail /hour wheel, with the result that you get 8 low notes for 8 o'clock, then at each quarter you get ding-dang-dong, on 3 bells to the full 8 count. If it had its original 48 step snail, it would strike the quarters properly. Still this is restorable by a good mechanic. The porcelain dial has some chips filled in, then sanded over which left roughness; numerals are intact; hands are original. no side dust covers on mov't. Runs briskly. Height 95.5 inches
