Description

Condition: The case was gold plated originally, but now polished to the brass base and in excellent condition with a wonderful gold repousse dial with lovebirds. Hands are original. For detailed views of the movement, plus additional comments see: Carriage Clocks, Their History and Development by Charles Allix, Pge 378-383. Allix writes: "It is worth emphasizing that in this clock the wheel teeth are very well shaped and cut and that the pinions are all together better formed and finished than those in any but the best French carriage clocks."
