Description

Condition: Mahogany veneered case in nice condition with restoration. Scrolls are original with left ear broken and repaired and the right ear a replacement. Left chimney has veneer damage. Bottom skirt is original, but the feet are not. Lock escutcheon is a replacement. Reverse-painted tablet is original with some minor loss. Movement is original and appears to have been supplied by Ephraim Downs. Painted dial is soiled with some wear and is an appropriate type [inner minute circle], but may be a replacement. Hands are original. Also retains a set of period Terry type finials. Ht. 31.25"
