Description
Condition: The globe is excellent, with only minor rotational loss from the rear. The case has been refinished, and the bottom minute disc replaced. The movement is clean and ticking. This clock has one of the nicest labels we have ever seen, stating: "Timby's Solar Timepiece, Patented 1863, No. 288." Examples of this clock are in many major museums, including the Henry Ford Museum; their clock is pictured in Palmer's Treasury of American Clocks, page 173. Height 27"
