Description

Condition: the case has been French polished over old finish, otherwise excellent original condition. Dial bears the name Adolf Hradetzky, in Brunn, Movement is clean and running. Note polished steel pendulum rod with slender/thin brass bob. See similar clock in Kochaver's book; Beautiful Vienna Regulators of the19th Century, pages 33-34, and also Kaltenbocks book Viennese Timepieces, pages 206-212. A good example of what Viennese clock makers left us as a legacy. Brunn was the capital of the Austrian margraviate and crownland of Moravia. Height 35.5 inches
