Description
Condition: about as good as you will find. Retains original finish, dial, hands, good label and movement. Dial with paint loss and dent at numeral XI, other minor losses. This very clock is pictured in Phil Gregory's book on Atkins [2004, Defense Technologies], page 55, Fig 213 (note dial blemishes are identical) . This clock contains the large and smooth running rectangular movement with iron mounted fusees below. It is clean and ticking. With repair labels from Augusta, Maine and Winthrop, Maine. Excellent original condition. From the 1850s through the 1870s, this large octagon model was the most popular seller for the various Atkins firms. Height 26 inches
