Description

Condition: this clock comes to us in its original shipping crate, having been in storage in a Salem, NH attic for the past 30 years. It has been used some, and the threaded stud had pulled out of the pendulum, which we re-attached. Details on Alvah's life and production can be found on the internet. However in 30 odd years of selling clocks, this is the first striker we have seen. Note also the painted roses on the dial are original, apparently a special order feature. Both lead weights retain original wooden covers, and counter weights are also intact. Strikes the hours on a bell. Overall excellent. Ht of case 14" [36cm].
