Description
Condition: Clean condition, running and striking. Tran Ly's Ansonia book, shows this model on page 101 with a paper over zinc dial center, however there is no evidence this one ever had a cover in the center. The base, stand, acorns, movement, dial and hands are all original; no label (likely had a Davies label). The movement is properly signed Ansonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn. The dome is old, but is just slightly too large in diameter to set down in the groove of the base; has been carefully cut down from a taller size.. [looks OK] Ly prices this clock with original dome at $1000. Total Height 19 inches [48cm]
