Description

Condition: overall very good original condition. This particular clock would have been ordered at a custom furniture store with a dining /parlor set, and is styled and carved to match the set. The case was made an extra inch deep by the cabinet maker, so that a clock-maker could install virtually any 80 beat movement, and this he has done by adding a one inch thick block to the back of the case. Minor nicks and scrapes to the case. The reliable movement is signed with Becker's award medallion, and strikes the full quarters every fifteen minutes. The key lock door has two heavy beveled panels. Stabilizer brackets are present; screw portion missing. A nice Edwardian example. Height 46 inches [117cm]
