Description
Condition: overall excellent and original. This is a regulator of the highest quality, with an Ellicott type pendulum with fine adjustment for temperature compensation via the threaded balls on either side of the pendulum. Moreover, there is a fine gear segment which extends into the glass covered bob, showing changes In pendulum length as a result of temperature, via a small hand. The large porcelain dial is in good condition, and with open Brocot escapement and original hands. Case with original gilding and beveled glass. A similar clock sold recently in a London saleroom for GBP 6000+ (over $12,000). Ht 19 3/4 "
